MacDaddy Fabrications (MDF) started the way a lot of good businesses do: out of pure frustration and a ruined range bag.

A few years back, a standard plastic gun oil bottle twisted open inside a quart-sized Ziploc bag in the upper pocket of my pistol range bag. The bag had some tiny pinholes, turning a routine trip to the bench into an oil spill.

After spending the evening scrubbing down gear and questioning my setup, I went into my 10x12 home office, fired up the 3D printer, and engineered a fix. I designed a rugged, high-impact enclosure built specifically to secure a precision syringe filled with heavy-duty grease. No leaks, no mess, and pinpoint application exactly where it belongs. A friend took one look at the prototype, told me I needed to sell them, and the focus of the company shifted to field maintenance.

The Origin of MacDaddy

The name itself goes back to my time playing football. Being the biggest kid in the room since first grade, my gym teacher originally dubbed me "Big Mac." Once I grew up, and started playing football (Offensive and Defensive lines), the nicnkame was upgraded to MacDaddy.

When I first started out fabricating off-roading equipment and drawing up plans for 4th Gen 4Runner builds, using the nickname for the shop was a natural fit. Today, that same focus on durable, no-BS engineering is applied to tactical and mechanical field gear.

When sourcing the grease for the RBGK (Range Bag Grease Kit), the priority was high performance without chemical trade-offs.

It contains no heavy metals or harsh chemical additives, meaning it’s entirely skin-safe when you're working at the bench.

But don't let the "food-safe" label fool you—this stuff is built for severe mechanical environments:

• High-Temperature Stability: It won't thin out, separate, or bleed all over your bag under heavy use or high summer heat.

• Low-Temperature Fluidity: It remains highly effective in extreme cold, preventing moving parts from gumming up during a freezing November deer opener.
